Author's Story
My story started back in 2012. When my younger daughter Marusya was 5 months old, I felt a desire to do art and crafts. I tried different materials, made bijou from poly clay and epoxy rubber.
Some time later I went to a Handmade exhibition in Kyiv and learned about a new material called foamiran. When I came back home I started to make flowers with it and later put them together into jewelry pieces.
This material is very interesting to work with. First, I cut out the petals, shape them with the help of heat and then collect the petals into a flower.
I also love working with beads. The fantasy and the combination of colors have no limits here. Handicraft is comforting me. But with the outbreak of the war, I could not make myself to take neither scissors nor a needle in my hand. After 2 months I wanted to create again. And the first rubber bands were in patriotic yellow and blue colors. 💛💙 I believe in our soon victory. 💛💙Everything will be Ukraine.💛💙
